Amit shah attends the special screening of manushi chhillar starrer ‘samrat prithviraj’

Union home minister Amit Shah and his family attended the special screening of samrat prithviraj starring miss World 2017 manushi chhillar and Akshya kumar.

Thrilled to have watched the historical film based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King prithviraj chauhan, shah praised the entire team for their effort and performances. He added, “As a student of history, i not enjoyed watching this film depicting india’s culture heritage but also understood its importance for indians.”

The film landed into controversy following claims by gurjar samaj sarv sangthan sabha ekta samnaya samiti that the ruler was depicted and a rajput and not a gurjar and filled a petition, they sought to stay on the release of the film,just recently the Delhi Court disposed of the petition starting that the film is caste neutral and that there is no mention of King prithviraj belonging either to the rajput community or the gurjar community and that the film is only centered on glorifying the Indian warrior and King prithviraj.

“samrat prithviraj is not only the story of an unparalleled warrior who fought bravely for our mother land, but it also reflects the the great ness of our culture.”

Said shah speaking to the press after the screening and also highlighted that it was after long 13 years that he had the opportunity to watch a film with his entire family.

The film, directed by Dr. Chandra prakash Dwivedi, is set to hit the theaters on 3rd June 2022. The grand visual spectacle is produced by yash raj films and also stars actors sonu sood, sanjay dutt, Manav vij, Asutosh Rana and sakhshi Tanwar, among others.
